MEETING WITH THE SCHOOL NURSE

My son started kindergarten today he was so excited.I too went into school to talk to nurse secretary and teacher all were very understanding.I wrote a letter that said a little about cf including some facts and things they could do to help it included things about snacks potty handwashing.A biggie for me was no drinking from water fountain or tap water Nicks doctor at clinic said no to this because psedomonas is in this and we have never allowed this and so far so good no psedo. Also they kept a copy for a subsitute folder in case.Also gym,library,are ect.He had a great day and was soooo excited.

You know pseudomonas is also in sinks and showers. If your son showers ever, he's being exposed to it. Does he brush his teeth with bottled water? If not, he's being exposed to it then too. Water fountains aren't that big a deal (as long as he isn't sucking on the thing -- that's a little gross).
Pseudomonas is really not worth trying to avoid. It's outright impossible.
