i have a question..? i have the scar thats under my booobs.. but like im rele rele scared that from that my boobs arent gonna grow? im only 17..but like its wierd- bc they like droop bc of it> cnt explain it

I absolutely love my scars - I did not have a clamshell incision. I actually had two incisions - one on each of my sides that goes onto my back. They are called bilateral thorocotomy incisions I think.

These pics were taken about a month or so post transplant so they are still relatively fresh. I do not have any more recent pictures though.

I love them - some people are kind of freaked out by them but whatever that is their issue. I think they are beautiful.

Linds...they look like zippers were implanted on your sides. I think they are cool. I have heard of doctors going through the back but this is the first time that I have ever seen scars from them. Thanks for sharing!

Does anyone know which procedure is chosen? Does it depend mostly on the surgerons methods? I realize in Patti's case that the liver AND lung being done was different, but just curious. I kind of like the zipper one because of wearing a bra.
