Hang in there! Is there hope that you can go past 32 weeks or are the doctors saying that is it? You have come so far but I would be devistated too. What a run of bad luck you had <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> Could have happened to anyone. Can you (meaning drs and you) take it one day at a time and see how far you can get?

My sister in law had her son at 33 weeks and he only spent 2.5 weeks in the hospital to grow and then he came home at 4 lbs. I know that not every baby progresses the same way but it is a story of hope for you. If you can do the kangaroo care babies can grow even faster.

Keep us updated. We'll be thinking about you.

Charlotte-I was having contractions very early on and was afraid of pre-term so I did ALOT reading and I just wanted to say (though I am sure you know) that 32 weeks is the 'magic' week. If you can make it to 32 weeks especially since they will be fully anticipating and giving you the steroids for babies lungs and all you and the baby will do phenomenally! Seriously, one of my friends worked nicu and said 32 weekers do so so so well. Best of luck to you

Charlotte felt worse again yesterday, worse then the days before. The doctor told her that her CO2 was getting a bit higher last week and yesterday she felt like is has gone higher again. She was short of breath at rest, had a bad headache and was on the sofa or in bed all day. She had bad night Saturday to Sunday too. Today she is 28 weeks and 1 day. She was very worried yesterday that if she called the doctors that they would want to get the baby.

She knows all to well where she would want to go what would be good for the baby. The last few months of her pregnancy with Abigail didn't go well at all either, she had to be on 100% high flow o2 and at one point she was too sick to have a c-section. Abigail was born a few weeks early but they didn't know if they would get there..

Charlotte has another appt with her OB on Wednesday. Please think of her. She was going to see how last night would go and if she would have to call the doctor today...
