wonder what they would find if they cultured MY lungs or looked up my nose every three months!

Found out what the 3rd culture was...Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. The nurse said it is from the water and common. They are not going to do anything.

Lili has cultured staph a number of times they have put her on Augmentin repeatedly. in Nov she cultured multivorans b cepacia which we were told isn't the aggressive hard to get rid of cepacia and she was on bactrim for a month,, that cleared up her cough very quickly.
She finally has no cough and no runny nose and hasn't been on antibiotics for a month and a half -keeping my fingers crossed!

forgot - she had a cough that just wasn't clearing up and a stufffed up nose, we had a sinus ct scan done ight before her last clinic visit and her sinuses were completely full. Hello, my son is 9 and he has cf. He was cultured last month and today they told us that he has mersa. They aslo told me that it will not harm him unless it starts to grow more, but they wouldn't give me any specifics....They also told me that is is there policy that once you get MERSA then you always have it. Now when we visit the clinic we have to go in the Quarintine room and all the Dr's have to be in full protective garb!What the hell? Does anyone no any thing about mersa that would helpfull? I know the basics, but some 1st hand experience would be helpfull. thanks
