    Percussors

We used that little blue one you have in the photo for a long time with out wearing it out. I'm thinking that our clinic just gave us a couple, no charge. Do you go to a pediatric clinic? If you don't have one in your area, i'd be more than happy to send you ours, I think we have 2-3 of them...

For thos that still do manual chest pt

Here's my favorite CPT tip for little guys. Must give the credit to my husband: When you're at clinic, dress your child in a onesie and have the RT mark a circle or X (with permanent marker) where the correct clapping spot is. We were always questioning ourselves when we were first learning...

    Strange TOBI side effects

Thanks for your input! He's now PA free and done with TOBI for now and isn't doing any of the above after coming off it. Hmmm, I love it when we can figure SOME things out, even if they are little things!

    Strange TOBI side effects

My son cultured PA in February and was put on 14 days of Cipro and 28 days of inhaled TOBI. His re-culture showed it was still there so we did another round of Cipro and TOBI right away. We noticed that at first his voice sounded "wet" or phlegmy, which isn't to weird for our boy, but then he...

    are broncoscopies common?

My son had a bronch at 26 months only because he was under anesthesia for a different procedure. Our doc is pretty conservative as he feels the risk of putting a child with compromised lungs "under" has to be seriously outweighed by the symptoms. We've talked about and decided against doing a...
