    Vitamin Level Checks

How often does your doctor check your vitamin levels? Sadie just had hers done about six months ago and they started her on a vitamin D supplement and lowered her vitamax. Today she had another visit and they wanted to check her vitamin levels again, but I held them off til next time because I...

    Creon Vitamin Program

I don't know if this is relevant, but back before we realized we could get her vitamins through the military pharmacy, we got her creon and vitamins through the CFF. You could try them, at the very least, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

    Elevated IGE Levels

My daughter had elevated IGE levels the first time they took her blood, but I think the doctor just said they were related to allergies. It was september/october so it made sense, since that's when her allergies usually bother her most. I could be wrong, but I think that's what he said.

    The Great Christmas Debacle

Unfortuneately, their health comes first, even if that means missing out on fun events or family gatherings. In reality, sick people shouldn't be around anyone else, especially kids (CF or no CF), and should keep their germs to themselves. Alas, that hardly ever happens. We were going to...

    First Culture of Pseudomonas?

I don't mind at all. From everything I've read here, it sounded like a strange thing to say and like maybe we were being lazy about treating her. This is still so new to me, that sometimes I have trouble not blindly trusting whatever the doctor says. They have an appointment this wednesday...

    First Culture of Pseudomonas?

So we finished our first 28 days of Tobi, but they want to culture her again before we start a new round. Is this normal? Should I push for more months? The doctor said that they've been finding that 2 months in a row of Tobi works just as effectively as a year. I haven't found any...

    Night time routine..

Sadie will watch TV while doing her nebs and she hates the mask so we use the mouthpiece that she can hold. We let her play with it (empty, of course), that seemed to help make it less scary, but sometimes I have to sit with her and hold it and play with her hair while she watches TV to get it...
