Help! I'm being watched!

I usually don't log in unless I'm posting. So I am probably lumped into the browsing category until I do!
It says there 7639 registered users so I guess the question should be how many of the guests that are browsing are just not logged in?
I actually joined this group because it was public. I don't mind someone looked at my perspective; but for those that are unsure or uncomfortable...I thought that's why a "private" topic was created? Although I could be wrong as I've never used it!!

Hmmmm, I just figured it was people not signed in, or googling "Cystic Fibrosis" for some reason (like the newborn screening, or writing a paper, etc.).

One thing I did see on another forum- I think it was an OT section in a dog forum, lol- was a section that members could post in that was only viewable if you were logged in, but you didn't have to be invited to it, like the "private topics" here...I did kinda like that. I've also thought about getting a blog, but haven't (mainly) because it is open to the entire planet, and not just the members here...but maybe that's just me <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> .

I dont have a problem with lurkers. Their problay people who want to know a little more about CF but dont want to join becasue they wont post. It's not like I'm writing anything scandolous so I dont mind <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Salty - Well I guess I was partially right about companies and such. I haven't gotten any PM's like that, but then again I don't have a blog or my email listed. Still, that's kind of weird. (but not entirely unexpected)

Julie - Welcome to the site! You should post more! Everyone has their own story, and it's not all about having something new and different to add. Just more voices agreeing/disagreeing/supporting are nice to hear. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I do worry about the teens/kids in the teen section that simply don't know any better than to share very personal info.
