Insurance Denial

Call them up and explain to them your dilemma. Say that you've done research on three different types of vests and they do, in fact, work differently. Try not to get angry and raise your voice as they challenge everything you throw at them.
Finally, if all else fails and just for the hell of it, calmly tell them Michael Moore is your brother-in-law and you most certainly have the proper media connects to get them exposed for the clowns they are.

Also, you can tell them your house was robbed the other day and they cleaned you out. YES, they even took the vest....you know, as crazy as it sounds...they took the vest. All you have left is half a 3-week-old bag of Quaker Rice Cakes, a couple of Swiffer wet jet refills, and a VHS player that is missing a remote control battery case lid. Throw in a few tears for good measure. Now all you need is a few friends willing to take everything in your house for a few days until an insurance person comes to check that your story is true.

**Don't try this..not only is it illegal, it will get you into serious trouble.......because it's illegal. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

may I ask what insurance you have? maybe someone has more specific advice that helped then with that company. even if one person with that insurance recieved the vest, that is a precedent and may give you the ammo you need to file an appeal.
at the very least they shouldn't take the vest while your claim is in appeal. if it stretches out long enought then once the monthly rental exceeds the purchase price of the vest it is no longer cost effective for them to take it away.

Come on now...We all know our insurance system works perfectly!!!! They obviously were looking out for your best interests, and certainly not how to save their company even more money!!!</end quote></div>

at least we have the option, SeanDavis. Those with your idealized socialized medicine have to pay cash... their governments don't even cover the Vest.

I'd try to get a kick-butt "Letter of Medical Necessity" from your dr.

Are they literally going to take it away from you, like come to your house and get it?
