Do smokers piss you off?

It annoys me that I have family and friends that smoke. They see that I struggle to breathe yet they are willing to destroy their own healthy lungs. I agree that it is their life and they can do as they please it just annoys me that they choose that path knowing someone with CF.

What REALLY annoys me is that smokers seem to think that THEY rule and that non-smokers should obey their rules. UM NO. I HATE that in public places people hang out at the entrance and smoke. So I have to walk through the cloud of cancer. If they want to kill themseves go for it, but please don't shorten my already fragile life-span.

I love that the bars in Philly are smoke free but it leaves me not being able to go out much since all the bars around me are still smoking. Hopefully soon PA will go smoke free state-wide and then I won't be forced to stay home.

I could go on and on but I won't haha

After watching my innocent husband suffer for the last 15 years I have known him, I have zero sympathy for smokers or their addiction. Just being honest, but I don't really care what it does to their own body, that's their choice, but freakin' stay away from the rest of our air. And roll up your car window. I won't go into all the details of how it affects our daily life & choices, you guys already get it!

We are facing our first trip back home to visit family in a couple of weeks. My parents smoked my whole childhood, but my mother quit 5 years ago. Yeah! My father, however, has always been very adament about not smoking. That was until my little girl got diagnosed with CF. He is actively trying to quit right now, but he is having a hard time. We are encouraging him all the time, but I am not sure 35 years of smoking is going to stop dead cold by the time we arrive. I don't want to put my little girl at risk of any lung issues so we might stay somewhere else. We will see. Any advice would be appreciated!

Here in Massachusetts you can't smoke in any public buidling. So....thay all gather in the front entrance outside. What gets me mad is kids smoking by the school bus. My daughter has complained and told the school how unfair it is because she did'nt get to choose if she wanted to destroy her lungs. I think with people having the it's all about me and not thinking how much damage they do to others by smoking. I will be glade when all states are smoke free.
