Insurance denied a new vest

The newest version of the Hill-Rom vest is about $16K, not $6K... but that is STILL much, much less than what an extended hospital stay costs, and exactly one of the arguments used to justify covering the expense of a vest in the first place.


eta: If any of the traveling is due to work this could well be used in your favor toward getting something more portable.

What about getting an Acapella for when you travel?

We were told by our CF center that if M does Acapella 6 blows for at least 4-5 seconds each and repeated at least 5 times that its the same ACT as using the vest and easier for travel.

Now, we get our Acapella free at clinic. But, its only about $150 or so to buy one, and it would easily fit in a carry-on baggage.
